Very friendly and helpful with my banking questions. Truly a convenient bank

I also have to say that both times I was there it took 2 hours or more, in addition to a 20 minute wait time.

Normally I don't rate and review places like banks because, well because they're banks. When googling a bank near my work I couldn't help but notice terrible reviews for this one. Well, it's a bank, so I went there anyway and ended up having a stellar experience, so I decided to leave a review. The teller was pleasant, friendly, and funny. I actually enjoyed taking out money to pay my rent.

I went through a pre-qual process for a mortgage here and had a poor experience with the level of knowledge and professionalism at this branch.Denny, the loan officer who helped me (both times) is not very well versed on the processes of applying for a loan and both times screwed up the process for me. The first time, he led me through the pre-qual process, pulling my credit score, only to find out later that I couldn't buy a home until after my tax return was filed 7 months later since I was self-employed, essentially going through the process for nothing. The second time, I went in to get an extension on my pre-qual letter (after changing jobs), which took almost 2 hours, and a week later I got a letter in the mail reporting my credit score from TD bank. Not knowing why I was receiving the letter, I showed him and he said I had to go through the whole pre-qual process again, but hadn't bothered to tell me that's what I was doing while I was there, and never asked permission nor mentioned that my credit score would need to be pulled again. Instead, he stood there are argued with me, saying I should have known that and started lying about how he had explained everything to me. This is the only TD bank in Clinton, you would think you would get a better representation. I found out from calling the TD corp that you can get a pre-qual letter without a credit pull, and that this is common knowledge for loan officers. I can understand the first event happening and having a new officer not be aware, since it's not that common in this area. But to be so knowledgeable about the rest and then not to have the decency or professionalism to even say what you're doing while you're working with someone is unacceptable. This affects people's credit scores, this needs to be handled with a little more discretion.

For two decades my husband and I have used TD Bank (and forerunner Commerce Bank before TD acquired it). We have always had an outstanding experience at TD in Clinton. The employees come and go over time, but as a group they typically have welcoming warm smiles and are conscientious and efficient. The customer service team is very helpful. Denny, for example, will go out of his way to find answers and fix problems. This branch stands out for its excellence and I credit the extraordinary leadership of Simi the branch manager (and formerly manager at Commerce) for consistently showing by example what it means to provide the best experience possible for anyone walking through the door. My husband and I are not fans of banks, but we very much appreciate this Clinton branch and the way it is run.

I did speak with the corporate TD bank about this and had a very positive customer support interaction, so it's not the TD bank overall. I was also able to get a pre-qual letter from TD over the phone in about 5 minutes. I would recommend going that route, over the phone, when you can.

I have to say that almost every time I have visited this particular branch; I have had a problem with the service ! I just went through the drive-thru yesterday; and the teller completely forgot to give me back my ATM card, which they asked me for to verify my identity ( I was ok with that).. I placed a call the following morning asking them if it was there, and they said yes; but never apologized for making the mistake; or making me have to drive all the way back there as well today to pick it up ! I would have thought a sincere apology would have been the right thing to do... this is why I pull most of my $$ when it comes in, and take it to another more friendly bank; one that I love so much ! Sorry, TD, you do not have my vote at all.
