Good diner food. Awesome service. Great salad bar. However, it is time to glue up some of those chairs. Hubby had to search for a sturdy one yesterday. Most of the time one of us gets a rickety chair.
Large variety of food. Everything we ordered was delicious. Service was good, could've been a bit faster. Due to location most people are rushing. I don't like to be seated in train car.
We pass this dinner frequently and finally stopped by for lunch. The restaurant is very pleasant with wooden panelling giving it a warm and welcoming interior. The restaurant was quiet even though it was well patronised. The option for the salad bar instead of a soup is generous and forward thinking with the increased interest in vegetarian diets. The soup, pork chop, and fish and chips we ordered we're all cooked well. Table service was prompt and courteous. Highly recommended for a meal break along this highway.
Our waitress, Rose, was a delight! So kind and warm to us. The food here is delicious. Only negative was the manager - a bit of a grumpy coot.. otherwise, we highly recommend this place!!
This was last July. Running on snack fumes at 2AM after a long flight, my daughter and I tried not to set a high expectation for what few (if any) vegan offerings we'd find. Their menu is long. Probably too long. That may be why we were able to get hummus, a huge salad, and excellent fries though. The best part of this adventure, was our server. She was very accommodating and deserves a better gig than the night shift in the middle of nowhere. Unless, of course, that's what she prefers.
