I have been shopping here since 2011 and have never had a negative experience. Everyone who works here is polite, knowledgeable and eager to help with whatever audio/video needs I come up with. While there are specific brands that they do favor, they are always eager to demo every brand that they carry and provide ample time to compare which ever equipment you would like.
Bottom line, if you need audio or anything for your movie room this is the place, real people with tons of experience who really have a passion for this, not the chain with kids pushing brands because of a great markup.
I will continue to shop here for all of my audio/video needs and will continue to recommend them to all of my friends for their needs from a pair of headphones to an 11.2 theater.
I give four stars to Chris at Audio-Video Synergy! I phoned the shop when I was having trouble with my television system. He gave generously of his time to help me find every possible cause of the problem. He never rushed me off the phone and guided me one step at a time with patience and professionalism. One good turn deserves another. I highly recommend these folks and intend to continue to give them my business,
I was in the market for a new Sacd player and Chris was more than knowledgeable. We listened to music for a good hour on cd and vinyl (fun time), he took his time with me and was never pushy, hence why I bought a new deck and will never go any where else. They are priced right, nice for a brick and mortar. Dave who I think is the owner was in as well and was as helpful as Chris as we discussed which model I was getting, (Marantz sa8005) and I'm glad I walked in as I couldn't have been happier with both my purchase and my experience.
If you've never been to this store, run there! Joe, Chris and Dave are great. They are all very knowledgeable about anything audio/video related. The location of the store is a very quaint little street that has a "throw back", nostalgic feeling to it. They sell top of the line equipment and will make you feel at home (not like other shops I've been to that are run by snobs). I live in PA and don't mind traveling the 40 minutes or so to their shop. Take the wife with you as there's plenty on that block for her too.
I've passed by here over the years but never went in as I've always been in the area late at night, now I've moved into the area and this place was a needed visit. This is how I remember buying audio equipment, through knowledgeable staff who have a passion for their products and customers.
Earlier this year I decided on a major upgrade to my audio-only system. I had a good experience with AVS with my previous upgrade, about 9 yrs ago, so I emailed Chris, one of the AVS showroom staff, with some questions, & then spent a fair amount of time checking out speakers & equipment in the showroom. From the very beginning, & over the course of several weeks, Chris was extremely helpful, patient, & informative in guiding me thru to my final decisions. He even took time to scope out my listening layout in person. The installation crew, especially Mike & Joe, were fantastic -- very professional, friendly, & attentive. The complexity of the setup & some of the equipment itself, along with a learning curve on my part, did require some follow-up troubleshooting from Chris & the crew, but they quickly responded to every issue & question that came up. Great service & support, all around. I've lived with the system for a couple of months now & couldn't be happier with the incredible audio quality.
