Place is packed all the time during the day. There's enough business... make it a World Class ShopRite already so it can be adequately stocked and offer a decent selection. I mean it's the only game in town except WalMart, which doesn't have a full grocery area.
Produce department is lousy and not a very big health food section, but it is very well laid out, they are rarely out of stock on even sale items and the staff is friendly. I used to rate this lower until we moved a little further away. After trying Wegmans, Branchburg ShopRite and Kings we now go back to this ShopRite. Wegmans is the best produce and prepared food, but at this point Clinton ShopRite has most of the semi normal specialty items you will find at Wegmans. Wegmans parking lot is awful and the layout makes it take twice as long to shop. Kings is too expensive and Branchburg ShopRite is poorly laid out and too crowded. We now go an extra few minutes out of our way for Clinton ShopRite.
It was as to be expected the week before christmas. The employees were very nice and polite.
This Shop Rite is in dire need of a complete overhaul and serious upgrade. The meat department has the lousiest offering of steaks I've ever seen. Its always too warm in the store too. Best bet : Go the World Class Shop Rite in Branchburg, far better in every single way.
Great product choice. Incredible, fresh produce. Friendly and helpful staff. Only place I enjoy shopping at.
